  • Lee Strand Milk presents €20,000 to schools in Kerry & West Limerick

    Over 150 representatives from sixty four schools in Kerry and West Limerick attended the Lee Strand Cash 4 Schools presentation in the Meadowlands Hotel on Friday, March 22nd, 2013 for the Cash 4 Schools cheque presentation. This year a total of €20,000 was presented to the schools that participated in the promotion. Lee Strand launched the Cash 4 Schools promotion in September 2011 to assist schools raise much valued funds for their schools, a total of €18,000 was presented in 2012. All schools were given the opportunity to raise up to €500 for their school by simply collecting the Mighty Mikey Milk mascot printed on Lee Strand 1 litre cartons and 2 litre milk bottles. Speaking at the Cash 4 Schools cheque presentation John O’Sullivan, General Manager, Lee Strand stated “Lee Strand takes great pride in supporting the local community and what better way to support our community than by supporting our local schools. Today Lee Strand is delighted to present €20,000 to local schools in our local community. It is only with the continued support of Lee Strand customers that initiatives such as the Cash 4 Schools promotion can take place and we would like to thank Lee Strand customers for their loyalty to the Lee Strand brand”. A total of 19 schools were presented with €500 cheques for their school including: Scoil Naomh Eoin Baiste, Loispoil; Scoil Bhreac Chluain, Annascaul; Killury NS, Causeway; St Teresa's NS, Kilflynn; Gaelscoil Aogain, Castleisland; Listellick NS, Tralee; Fybough NS, Castlemaine; Scoil Naomh Erc, Glenderry, Ballyheigue; Abbeydorney NS, Abbeydorney; Blennerville NS, Blennerville, Tralee; Dromclough NS, Listowel; Scartaglin NS, Scartaglin; St Brendan's NS, Fenit; Presentation Primary, Tralee; Convent Primary School, Listowel; Scoil Naomh Erc, Kilmoyley; Scoil Chriost Ri, Drumnacurra, Causeway; St Bridgids NS, Duagh, Listowel and Aughacasla NS, Camp.
