We take great pride in supporting our local community and donate six cent from each carton of milk sold back into local sponsorships.
We are a co-operative society, owned by our farmers and their families who are all very much part of the local community.
It makes perfect sense for us to support local projects that benefit our loyal customers, who have supported the Lee Strand brand for over 100 years.
€500 Cash Draws
Lee Strand hosts a series of €500 Cash 4 Schools draws for schools within our local community every year. This gives schools a great opportunity to win much-needed funds to assist in the development of their school’s sports equipment, library facilities and much more. There is always great excitement when our Lee Strand mascot Mighty Mikey Milk visits the winning school for the €500 presentation. We also bring along milk and goodies for all pupils in the school.
Lee Strand distributes over 10,000 complimentary hardback homework journals to primary school pupils every year. The journals are specially designed and printed in English and Irish with over 130 pages including:
Weekly diary to record homework each day
Timetable to record classes and activities
Tables book featuring addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
Environment quiz
Healthy eating tips
Irish culture and heritage
Spelling and grammar
Teacher and parent note forms
Homework tips for pupils/parents, plus lots more.

Lee Strand introduced a scholarship scheme in 2012 for young farmers ensuring that future liquid milk suppliers gain the most up to date training in farm practices. To date fourteen scholarships have been awarded.
In addition, Lee Strand provides work placement for students from the Munster Technological University, other third level colleges and work shadowing opportunities for second level students.
Over 15,000 primary, secondary and third level students have also visited our production plant as part of their school programme. The tours are very popular and consist of a presentation, tour of our production process, followed by refreshments in our boardroom. All students also receive a complimentary goody bag to take home as a souvenir.
Lee Strand provides a vast amount of funding for the sports sector in our local community.
Our sports fund covers sponsorship in a diverse range of disciplines including: football, hurling, soccer, athletics, cycling, basketball, tennis, swimming, golf and many more.
Lee Strand also regularly host a range of Health & Wellbeing events for all our customers. All money raised at the events is donated to a local charity.
