Carbon offsetting
Lee Strand is the first co-operative in Ireland to sign up with Flogas to their Carbon offsetting initiative for its commercial customers. Lee Strand has compensated for 209 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions by investing via Flogas in the South Pole’s climate protection project, aura solar in Mexico. Carbon offsetting is recognised worldwide as a way of managing carbon emissions.
Flogas collaborates with the South Pole, a gold standard provider of Carbon offsetting projects worldwide. By investing in sustainable global projects, companies can reduce or capture an equivalent amount of carbon emissions.
